Cinderella Project helps cash-strapped youths attend prom

January 16th, 2012 10:33 am by Jeff Bobo

ROGERSVILLE — Rogersville volunteers hope to utilize the community’s generosity instead of a fairy godmother to give teens access to formal attire they might need for the prom.

The Cinderella Project was founded this year by Kayla Williams and Alyson Johnson, Youth Group ministry leaders at New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Church Hill.

They are collecting prom dresses and other attire to distribute to youths who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to attend their high school or junior high proms.
