Couple found passed out at Burger King drive-through

ROGERSVILLE — Instead of waking up to a warm croissant and hot coffee, a Hawkins County couple found passed out behind the wheel at the Rogersville Burger King drive-through window Monday morning received a jail breakfast.

Shortly after 5:30 a.m. Monday, Rogersville Police Department Officer George Henry was dispatched to the Burger King, 116 James Richardson Lane, in reference to a man and woman passed out in a green 1996 Geo Tracker in the restaurant’s drive-through.

The male in the driver’s seat was identified as Joseph Wesley Steele, 29, 2939 Main St., Surgoinsville. The female in the passenger seat was identified as Jessica Leanne Steele, 28, 103 Jackson St., Rogersville.
