BRISTOL — Broad legislation banning over-the-counter drugs such as bath salts and synthetic marijuana will pass in Tennessee this year, business leaders were told Tuesday.
At a Bristol Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast held at King College, Tennessee state Rep. Jon Lundberg announced he has drafted a bill similar to Virginia’s new law addressing substances emulating illegal recreational drugs.
“They are smoking this stuff, and we are creating a different group of people who are going into the judicial system. ... It is, unfortunately, legal,” Lundberg said.
