Johnson City police chased down and arrested an Elizabethton woman Saturday on several charges after an alleged shoplifting incident at a West Walnut Street store.
Stacy Hatley, 40, 180 Little Ave., Elizabethton, was arrested after police went investigated the incident at Highway Boutique, 827 W. Walnut St.
Police found a vehicle driven by Hatley in front of 1101 Henry St. and watched her exit. She then led police on a short foot pursuit, and after she was in custody, she identified herself as someone else, police said.
Hatley was charged with identity theft, forgery, evading arrest, shoplifting and driving on revoked license.
She was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $14,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Tuesday.
