Jonesborough police arrested a Kingsport man Wednesday for the armed robbery of a retail pharmacy earlier this month.
Joshua Arnold, 22, 212 Lewis Lane, Kingsport, was charged with aggravated robbery.
Police said in a news release Arnold was responsible for the Dec. 12 robbery of the Walgreens Pharmacy at 531 E. Jackson Blvd.
On Dec. 14, police reported that about 3 p.m. on the 12th, a man walked into the Walgreens and demanded narcotics. Jonesborough Public Safety Maj. Matt Rice said the robber never showed a weapon, rather he suggested that he had one in his pocket. Rice did not say what kind of drugs the man took or how much he took.
The robber was described as white, between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and having a thin build, sandy blond hair and a scar between his left eyelid and eyebrow.
Police also had released video surveillance images of the man in the store to seek public assistance in the case.
Arnold was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $50,000 bond pending a Dec. 29 Sessions Court appearance.
