Rogersville man sentenced to eight years for kidnapping, drug charges

ROGERSVILLE — A Rogersville man accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend in 2010 was sentenced to eight years in prison Thursday and must serve a minimum of 85 percent of the sentence.

Tomothy Joey Anderson, 28, 110 Winegar Hollow Road, Rogersville, was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s Reno Street apartment on Oct. 23, 2010.

Police said he was inside the residence when his ex-girlfriend, Tenisha Tennyson, and her male companion arrived home.

Tennyson went into the bathroom, and witnesses told police that when Tennyson came out of the bathroom Anderson was behind her holding a knife and a lamp.
