ECU to return $5 million in ‘Extraordinary Dividend’

December 19th, 2011 7:24 pm by Staff Report

Eastman Credit Union will be returning $5 million to members in 2011’s “Extraordinary Dividend.”
Eligible members will receive their portion of the $5 million Extraordinary Dividend in their savings account in February of 2012. Deposit notifications will be included with the January statement and mailed to members prior to the payment. The dividend is based on the amount of business members have done with ECU in the past year.
With the approval of this payout, ECU has awarded a total of $50 million in Extraordinary Dividends to eligible members since 1998.
ECU offers loan and deposit products to members, including savings, checking, auto loans, student loans, personal loans, mortgage loans, Visa credit cards, and more. Through the Extraordinary Dividend, which is like a year-end bonus, ECU rewards members for using these products and services.
ECU serves approximately 129,000 members worldwide and employs more than 475 individuals. ECU operates 21 branch offices and more than 60 ATMs in four states with over 42,000 surcharge free ATMs via the Allpoint Network.
