ELIZABETHTON — A Johnson City man has been arrested on charges he broke into his ex-wife’s residence and stole a laptop computer and eight DVD’s.
Jason Harold Barnett, 29, 176 Austin Springs Road, Johnson City, was arrested Friday by Investigator Matt Croy of the Elizabethton Police Department on charges of aggravated burglary and theft of property. He is scheduled to answer the charges in Sessions Court on Jan. 23.
Croy said witnesses observed Barnett enter the residence of Sara Barnett on Southview Circle through a rear bedroom window on Sept. 8, then saw him place an object in his car. Croy said the window was damaged in the burglary.
