Three charged in series of break-ins and thefts in SW Virginia

ABINGDON, Va. — Washington County Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested three people on numerous charges resulting from several burglaries and thefts in Abingdon and Washington County.
Deputies recovered more than $12,000 worth of property, including jewelry and firearms, Sheriff Fred Newman said in a news release.
Christopher Adam Barrett, 29, 18024 Black Hollow Road, Abingdon, was charged five counts of breaking and entering; six counts of grand larceny; four counts of grand larceny with the intent to resell; four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; one count of probation violation; and one count of obstruction of justice.
Barrett was held without bond in the Bristol City Jail.
Beth Noel Widener, 22, 29431 Hawthorne Drive, Meadowview, was charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny. Widener was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
Brittany Santana Calloway, 25, 14485 Rainbow Road, Bristol, was arrested on a capias from Tazewell County. She was released on a recognizance bond.
