Johnson City police arrested three Asheville, N.C., residents this morning on charges that they stole items from a North Roan Street retail toy store.
Arrested were Shaniquel T. Shelton, 24, Ariane M. Harris, 23, and Tiffany D. Davis, 27, all of different apartments at 100 Atkinson St. in Asheville.
In a news release, police said officers were checking a suspicious vehicle at Toys 'R' Us, where a complaint had been reported about people loading stolen items into the vehicle.
Police said Shelton, Harris and Davis admitted to stealing the items from Toys ‘R’ Us.
Each woman was charged with theft of property over $1,000 and jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond. Sessions Court appearances for all three were set for Monday morning.
