For the second time this year a thief has broken into the Roselawn Memorial Park, 3233 S. Roan St., Johnson City, according to a Carter County Sheriff's Department report.
The latest incident took place on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. James Gatewood, the grounds supervisor, said he noticed when he arrived at work on Thursday morning that the batteries had been stolen out of two tractors. The batteries were valued at $300.
During the first burglary, someone broke into a tool shed, taking a soil tamper, Stihl leaf blower and trimmer and a Hitachi drill.
