Jonesborough man charged with stealing coins, stamps and more from JC residence

A Jonesborough man has been charged with stealing silverware, jewelry, stamps and coins from a University Parkway apartment.
Edward Robert Smith, 33, 263 Miller St., Jonesborough, was charged with theft of property over $1,000.
In a news release issued Friday, Johnson City police said a woman at 211 University Parkway, No. 4, reported Nov. 28 that the items had been taken from her home.
Smith, who worked in the victim's home, had attempted to sell some of the stolen items on the internet and area businesses, police said.
He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday.
