A couple were taken to jail late Monday night after allegedly fighting with a stick and a knife, according to a police report.
Johnson City police were called to 1500 Bell Ridge Road, Apt. 26, just before 10 p.m. Monday and found the people who lived there, Seprena R. Lambert, 39, and Danny J. Williams, 42, had been fighting.
Lambert had a knife, and Williams had a stick. Williams said Lambert had thrown their dog across the room, which started the initial argument, according to the report. Lambert said Williams hit her in the head and body with the stick and admitted to going toward Williams with the knife, according to the report. Williams said he was protecting himself with the stick.
Neighbors said the two had been arguing most of the day, which was normal, according to the report.
Police deemed both of them mutually aggressive toward each other and charged them each with aggravated domestic assault.
Williams and Lambert were taken to the Washington County Detention Center. Lambert was held on $20,000 bond, and Williams was held on $10,000. Both were scheduled to appear Wednesday in Sessions Court.
