HAMPTON — Four guns and eight quilts recently were reported stolen recently from a Peters Lane residence.
Janet White told Deputy Brian Smithpeters of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department that the eight quilts had a total value of $800. The guns included a double-barreled shotgun, valued at $400. The remaining three guns were valued at $200 each. They included a squirrel gun, a .22 cal. rifle and a rifle bought at an army surplus store.
