BLOUNTVILLE — American Airlines’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing should have no impact on the airline’s American Eagle flights from Tri-Cities Regional Airport to Chicago, TCRA officials said Tuesday.
“We’ve not seen anything that would make us feel different than that,” TCRA Executive Director Patrick Wilson said. “We expect all flights to continue. From the passengers’ perspective, all flights will continue to operate as normal, and all reservations will continue to be honored. All future reservations will continue to be booked.”
In an e-mail, TCRA Marketing and Air Service Development Director Melissa Thomas said of American’s bankruptcy filing: “This is an opportunity for American to restructure its costs to be more competitive with other major carriers.”
