Carter Co. woman reports jewelry theft

ELIZABETHTON — A woman reported to the Carter County Sheriff’s Department that someone had stolen all of her jewelry from a jewelry box in her bedroom recently. The total value of the missing items was $3,675.
Sherry Jean Nelson, Laura Drive, told Deputy Ricky Kinner that the stolen items included a 23-karat gold puzzle ring with ruby and white sapphire stones in the “X” part of the ring, valued at $450; a 14-karat gold wedding ring with no diamond but with three oval-shaped ruby stones, valued at $350; her father’s 14-karat gold class ring, valued at $300; a 14 karat gold necklace with a heart-shaped ruby, valued at $275; a man’s Mickey Mouse watch, valued at $275; a 14-karat gold ring with a pearl in a swirl setting with two small diamonds, valued at $250, and numerous other pieces of jewelry.
Kinner reported there were no signs of forced entry into the home and nothing else was out of place.
