Two Washington County residents recently were indicted on several charges of selling prescription drugs, Jonesborough Police Chief Matt Hawkins said Tuesday in a news release.
Ronald E. Frazier, 67, 805 Haws Drive, Jonesborough, and Johnny Smith, 43, 3211 Mayfield Drive, Lot 26, Johnson City, were served Friday with Washington County grand jury presentments on multiple counts of selling controlled substances.
Frazier was charged with seven counts of selling controlled substances, and Smith was charged with four counts.
Hawkins said the arrests followed an investigation into the sale of prescription drugs. Two vehicles were seized in the investigation.
Frazier and Smith remained jailed Tuesday in the Washington County Detention Center pending Criminal Court appearances. Frazier's bond was $100,000, and Smith's was $101,000.
Smith also was charged with simple possession/casual exchange.
