CHATTANOOGA (AP) — A Chattanooga man has been charged with beating four of his girlfriend's young children, including 2-year-old twins who were taken to a hospital with fractures and other serious injuries.
Thirty-four-year-old Jamie Lee Skiles has a hearing Friday on three counts of aggravated child abuse and another charge.
A jailer Wednesday said records do not show that Skiles has a lawyer.
A neighbor told the Chattanooga Times Free Press that she has made multiple calls to police about someone next door abusing children. (http://bit.ly/tONT6V )
Their mother, Melissa Pinion, told police she left her six children with Skiles. Officers who responded Saturday found a 7-year-old and a 10-year-old with bruises. A 13-year-old said Skiles told her the twins wet the bed and the 7-year-old got in trouble at school.
