November 15th, 2011 10:02 am by Don Jacobs

KNOXVILLE — A woman who had been stabbed repeatedly in the leg this morning sought help by flagging down passing officers.

The unidentified woman about 2 a.m. got the attention of officers traveling by 2202 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to Knoxville Police Department Sgt. Mike Fowler.

Jeans covering the woman's left leg were covered with blood. Emergency workers from Rural/Metro Ambulance and the Knoxville Fire Department tended to the victim and found three puncture wounds in her left calf, Fowler said.
