Occupy Chattanooga protesters move aside for wedding

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Occupy Chattanooga has accommodated a couple who wanted the movement's camping spot for their wedding.

Mark Melville and Lauren Filter were married Monday on the same spot where Melville's mother and stepfather said their vows on the lawn of the Hamilton County Courthouse. The same pastor performed the ceremony.

When Melville drove to the courthouse on Saturday and talked to protester Sela Randazzo, she assured the groom the occupy demonstrators would move their tents so they wouldn't show up in the wedding photos, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press (http://bit.ly/twDEqo).

Randazzo even brought a basket of marigolds from her garden for the ceremony.

The vows were exchanged with a small wedding party on one side of the lawn and protesters on the other.
