Palmeri joins hematology committee

November 14th, 2011 3:27 pm by Staff Report

Dr. Martin Palmeri, a Mountain States Medical Group hematologist/oncologist, has accepted an appointment on the American Society of Hematology Committee on Practice.
Palmeri, who practices at the Regional Cancer Center at Johnson City Medical Center, will begin serving on the committee in January. He is board-certified in general internal medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
The Committee on Practice seeks ways to promote high standards of hematology practice by organizing an annual meeting Practice Forum and, from time to time, a special session on issues important to hematology practitioners. The committee supports these educational efforts and coordinates activity with appropriate American Society of Hematology committees to encourage innovations in quality assurance.
