Dr. John Atlee “Jay” Snyder has joined the faculty at East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine as a specialist in internal medicine.
Snyder is accepting new patients as an internist with Quillen ETSU Physicians Internal Medicine-Johnson City, 325 N. State Franklin Road. He also serves as a member of the academic faculty as an assistant professor in the ETSU Department of Internal Medicine.
A native of Waynesboro, Va., Snyder earned his bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater College and his doctor of osteopathy degree at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. He enrolled in the internal medicine residency program at Quillen and rose to the position of chief resident. After completing his residency in June, he decided to remain at ETSU as a faculty member. He resides in Johnson City with his wife, Dr. Amanda Morais, and their daughter, Marina.
