ELIZABETHTON — A Watauga man was arrested Tuesday on charges of selling drugs following his indictment by a Carter County grand jury.
Thomas Raymond Scott, 55, 117 S. 9th St., Watauga, was charged with three counts of sale of schedule II drugs and one count of possession of schedule VI drugs for resale.
The charges stem from the alleged sale of roxycodone tablets, a Schedule II drug on three separate occasions to a confidential informant working for the First Judicial District Drug Task Force.
The alleged sales were for five tablets on July 19, six tablets on July 25 and five tablets on July 28. The fourth charge was for allegedly being in possession of more than a half ounce of marijuana on Aug. 1.
Scott is scheduled to answer the charges during the next session of Criminal Court.
