October 31st, 2011 5:26 pm by Staff Report

Appalachian Christian Village, a continuing care retirement community that offers retirement, adult day services, assisted living and skilled nursing care to seniors, is holding a grand opening for its “Loving Touch Memory Care” center at Pine Oaks Assisted Living on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Located at 213 University Parkway, Pine Oaks has been a part of Appalachian Christian Village for 12 years. Recently, Appalachian Christian Village decided to extend services at Pine Oaks by converting 34 assisted living beds to a level of care that caters exclusively to those in need of Alzheimer’s and Memory Care.
Attendees of the event will enjoy light refreshments; remarks by Tracy Kendall, regional Alzheimer’s Association director; and private tours of the apartments and grounds. Call 232-8503 for more information.
