2 accused of stealing bins from Jonesborough business, selling for scrap

Jonesborough police Wednesday announced the arrests of two men on charges that they stole numerous aluminum bins and sold them for scrap.
Arlin Neidlinger, 54, whose address was listed as the Fox Motel in Johnson City, and Ray Woodfin, 42, 452 Washington College Road, Limestone, were each charged with two counts of theft over $5,000.
Police said Hexpol Compounding, 260 Old State Route 34, Jonesborough, reported a series of thefts.
Officers determined that Neidlinger and Woodfin stole 43 bins over several days in early October and sold them as scrap metal in Johnson City, police said.
Neidlinger and Woodfin were jailed Oct. 19 in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond and later released. Neidlinger appeared in Sessions Court Oct. 20, and Woodfin appeared Tuesday.
