The Tennessee Association of Realtors announced a recent graduate of the Realtor Institute program, Julie Hedges of Realty Executives, with the Northeast Tennessee Board Association. By successful completion of this program, Hedges has earned the “Graduate, Realtor Institute” designation, signifying a mastery of a specific and intensive program of classroom instruction. Hedges holds her broker license with Realty Executives in Johnson City.
Through the Realtor Institute program, sales professionals study marketing, ethics, contracts, finance, agency, technology and other real estate topics. Graduation from the program in Tennessee requires successful completion of 96 hours or more of coursework and six written examinations on various aspects of the courses taken. The GRI is a nationally recognized designation and its program curriculum and standards are governed by the National Association of Realtors. Currently, one in eight Realtors in Tennessee hold the GRI designation.
