Accused ATM vandal picks up stolen vehicle charge

September 30th, 2011 5:22 pm by Staff Report

A man arrested earlier this week on ATM vandalism and assault charges was charged again Thursday when police learned that he was in possession of a stolen vehicle, police said in a news release.
Brandon L. Miller, 26, 415 Cash Hollow Road, was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Police said when Miller was served with several felony arrest warrants for unrelated charges, Miller was found in possession of a vehicle reported stolen by the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department.
Miller remained jailed Friday in the Washington County Detention Center with $10,000 bond in addition to the $72,000 bond he had from previous charges.
Miller already was jailed on charges stemming from a series of events in Elizabethton and Johnson City that included two attempted ATM break-ins and an assault.
The first incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at Carter County Bank’s ATM at 1254 Milligan Highway. Miller and Cari Marlene Davis, 22, 136 Brobeck Road, Limestone, were each charged with attempted theft of property over $10,000 and vandalism over $1,000 in that incident.
Miller also was charged with attempting to break into the Citizens Bank ATM at CVS, 4211 N. Roan St., and with assaulting Davis at the the Shell gas station, 2607 S. Roan St., that same morning.
