Shoplifting complaint leads to discovery of fugitive

Johnson City police arrested a woman Thursday following an investigation into a shoplifting at a city Wal-Mart, police said in a news release.
Tameka L. Hamilton, 25, 201 Edna Ct., was charged with being a fugitive from justice for a crime in another state after police responded to Wal-Mart, 2915 W. Market St., in reference to a shoplifting.
Hamilton was being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $20,000 bond pending an arraignment in Sessions Court Monday at 1:30 p.m.
