UT hopes to hook future students with $10 tickets

September 28th, 2011 9:56 am by Staff Report

KNOXVILLE (AP) — With Tennessee students on fall break during the Volunteers' home game against Buffalo on Saturday, athletics officials are hoping to hook potential future students with cheap tickets.

Tennessee announced Tuesday that it will offer $10 student tickets to fans 18-and-under for the 12:30 p.m. game against the Mid-American Conference team. Adults can purchase tickets to accompany the younger fans for the normal price of $40.

Neyland Stadium seats 102,455, and the Vols have averaged 94,434 fans for two home games against nonconference foes Montana and Cincinnati. Saturday originally was slated as the Vols' open date but was filled with the Buffalo matchup after school officials eliminated a planned Sept. 24 visit to North Carolina from the schedule.

For more information, students can contact the Tennessee ticket office at 1-800-332-8657.
