KINGSPORT — A Kingsport man has been arrested after allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will and hitting her with a gun.
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office reports responding to the Holston Valley Medical Center emergency room on Saturday. A patient, Tiffany Hopson, claimed the incident began Thursday night at 375 Snapps Ferry Road, when her boyfriend saw a man on her Facebook page.
The boyfriend, Jose Valeriano, 40, of the residence, allegedly pulled a gun and knife and refused to let Hopson leave. Valeriano reportedly hit her in the head several times with gun, causing it discharge on one occasion. Hopson said she was able to escape once Valeriano fell asleep.
