September 20th, 2011 3:15 pm by Staff Report

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities in Bradley County say they arrested two men when they tried to sell stolen playground equipment to a scrap metals dealer.

Eighteen-year-old Ryan Lee Wiseman and 25-year-old Brandon Leigh Trentham, both of Cleveland, are charged with theft over $500.

Alice's Wonderland Daycare had alerted authorities that playground equipment known as "bouncer seats" was discovered missing Sunday. The equipment is four seats mounted on large springs.

Deputies contacted the scrap metal business, and on Monday the sheriff's office was notified about the attempted sale.
