East Tennessee State University’s College of Business and Technology will host a Health Care Legislation and Small Business seminar on Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Millennium Centre. Registration time and coffee will be available from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Area professionals will explain how current health care legislation will affect small businesses. Among the speakers will be an attorney from the firm of Hunter, Smith and Davis addressing the legal implications for small businesses; a Certified Public Accountant from Blackburn, Childers and Steagall speaking about the financial and tax consequences for small businesses; and the chief operating officer from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce providing information about the current and future status of health care legislation.
