September 9th, 2011 2:30 pm by Staff Report

KNOXVILLE (AP) — The FBI says 10 billboards are up around Knoxville and more are coming in the attempt to catch the bank robber dubbed the "Bad Hair Bandit."

The billboards show surveillance photos of the robber who has robbed banks in East Tennessee and eastern Kentucky while wearing a variety of wigs and disguises.

FBI spokeswoman Staci Bohanan in Knoxville said billboards are also going up in Kentucky, according to The Knoxville News Sentinel.

Witnesses described the robber as a white man in his mid- to late 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and having a medium to heavy build. A reward is offered for tips leading to conviction.
