KNOXVILLE (AP) — Knoxville police say they arrested a man on drug charges after being attracted to his parked car that had a loud stereo playing.

According to The Knoxville News Sentinel, officer Joel Ascencio heard the radio playing in the car Wednesday afternoon in violation of the city's noise ordinance. (http://bit.ly/nExsIX)

The occupant threw something out, which turned out to be a bag of marijuana and another bag of crack cocaine, officers said.

Thirty-two-year-old Larry Eugene Scandrick of Knoxville was charged with possession of marijuana for resale in a school zone, possession of cocaine for resale in a school zone and failing to have a driver's license.

He was jailed with a hearing set for Sept. 19. Jail records did not show if he had an attorney to comment in his behalf.
