BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — JaDamion Williams got the Elizabethton Twins off to a good start with a leadoff home run and his team stayed alive in the Appalachian League playoffs with a ??? victory over the Bluefield Blue Jays.
The Twins’ victory left the best-of-three series tied at a game apiece. The deciding game is set for tonight at Bluefield. The winner takes on the winner of the Johnson City-Danville series, whish was also tied 1-1 after Thursday night.
Nick Lockwood was 3 for 4 with an RBI for the Twins, who jumped to a 5-0 lead a day after losing the opener at home 11-3. David Hurlbut was the winning pitcher after holding the Jays to four his over six innings.
