HARRIMAN (AP) — A Harriman woman and her three sons have been killed in a crash involving her sport utility vehicle and a tractor-trailer truck.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the driver of the SUV as Stephanie N. Brown, who was 31 years old. Also killed were 8-month-old Grason Brown, 7-year-old Jackson Brown and 9-year-old Gage Brown.
The investigating trooper said the SUV crossed the center line of state Route 61 near Harriman Tuesday evening and collided head-on with the big truck. Both vehicles caught fire and burned. The driver of the truck, Joe Sexton of Harriman, was slightly hurt.
Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Bobby Clevenger said it's unknown why the SUV veered into the other lane.
No charges will be filed.
