KINGSPORT — A Kingsport man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to enter a locked door at St. Dominic Catholic School, then challenging a parent and police.

Responding officers report finding the suspect in the middle of East Center Street, wearing only gym shorts and flexing his muscles. He reportedly struggled briefly before being detained in a squad car, with officers theorizing he was under the influence of a hallucinogen.

A Kingsport police arrest report states the incident occurred at approximately 7 a.m. Monday. Earnest B. Skeens, 35, of 1709 Park St., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, simple assault, trespassing, public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Skeens reportedly attempted to enter the school, 1474 East Center St., through locked gym doors. The report says Skeens was violently shaking the doors while yelling, "Let me in."
