Search under way for Blountville theft suspect

BLOUNTVILLE — The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man suspected of stealing then selling a tractor hay rake valued at $3,500.

A press release from police say the item was stolen from a field at 1479 Highway 175 in Blountville. The victim reported the theft on July 28.

Last week, according to police, a Piney Flats man contacting reported he may have purchased a stolen hay rake, providing the seller's name as Rhudy Wyatt. Police say the rake's serial number matched that of the stolen equipment, with video obtained of Wyatt selling the rake.
