BLOUNTVILLE — A Virginia man was arrested last week after allegedly attempting to sell metal and copper he stole from cell phone sites in Sullivan County.

A press release from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office says five sites were vandalized, with reports filed between August 8 and August 16. In each case between $500 and $2,000 worth of metal was allegedly stolen.

On Aug. 16, according to police, a man attempted to sell some of the stolen property at Wise Recycling in Bristol, Va. Police were contacted and arrested John Thomas Grant, 27, of Richmond, Va. Police say additional items taken from the towers were located in Grant's vehicle.
