August 18th, 2011 8:50 am by Hayes Hickman and Don Jacobs

KNOXVILLE — Police this morning have three people in custody in connection with the deaths of a North Knoxville couple who were beaten with a hammer during the theft of pills and jewelry before their home was set on fire, a police spokesman said.

Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk this morning identified the man found just inside the door of his 100 Tower Drive home as Eric Marsh, 45.

Police have not yet identified a woman found in a back bedroom after firefighters doused flames at the home at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday.

Court records, however, identify the woman as Dena Marsh, age unavailable.
