KNOXVILLE — A police spokesman this morning said investigators are treating the death of a man found Tuesday in a burning home as a homicide.
Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk, however, wouldn't say the same about a woman found dead in the same home.
"Right now we're concentrating on getting her identified," DeBusk said this morning.
According to Knoxville Fire Department Capt. D.J. Corcoran, the fire at 100 Tower Drive was reported at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday by two passersby who saw the flames from the street. The two told authorities that they tried to get into the house to see if there was anybody inside but were pushed back by the fire.
