ELIZABETHTON — A woman faces several charges after she allegedly rammed her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle Monday afternoon.
Kathryn Nicole Thompson, 31, 701 Hemlock St., was arrested by Lt. Jeff Markland of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department on charges of vandalism, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of drug paraphernalia and a first offense of driving under the influence.
Markland said he was dispatched to 201 Ron Royce Road, where he spoke with Timothy Shelton. He said Shelton told him Thompson had come to his residence and got into an altercation with his new girlfriend.
Shelton said Thompson was asked to leave and she did so. He said a short time later, Thompson drove back to his residence and rammed his car, causing severe damage to his vehicle. He said Thompson hit another parked vehicle belonging to Ronnie Blevins and then drove away. She was stopped a about two miles away by Lt. Patrick Johnson.
Markland said Thompson appeared intoxicated and he said she admitted she had injected Roxicodone and Xanax earlier. She was found in possession of three syringes.
Thompson is scheduled to answer the charges in Sessions Court on Sept. 20.
