Mountain Commerce Bank has promoted three of its key personnel. Unicoi County native Whit Whitehurst, has been promoted to vice president. Whitehurst began his five-year banking career with Erwin National Bank, the predecessor of Mountain Commerce Bank, in the management training program, gaining experience in all areas of the bank. During his career with MCB, he was an assistant branch manager prior to being named special assets manager. He is responsible for managing special assets, as well as all aspects of the appraisal process throughout the bank. He earned his Bachelor of Business Management degree with a concentration in banking from East Tennessee State University.
Brad Pollock was promoted to special assets recovery officer. Pollock has extensive experience in managing special assets and collections. In addition to actively managing foreclosed properties and resolving delinquent accounts, he assists with property valuations and appraisals.
V.V. Elliott has been promoted to assistant vice president. She has more than 16 years of retail and commercial banking experience, including all aspects of loan operations. Elliott joined Mountain Commerce Bank in 2007, supporting commercial and retail lenders in the Johnson City area. In 2010, she was promoted to credit administration officer and accepted the additional responsibility of managing all aspects of the loan operations department. In addition, Elliott is involved in all areas of credit administration.
