Jones named chair of Colorectal Cancer Committee

Brian Jones, director of hospice for Mountain States Health Alliance, was recently named state chair of the Colorectal Cancer Committee.
Jones maintains an interest in cancer screening and primary prevention. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson; a master’s degree from Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas; and a graduate certificate in Health Care Administration from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He is also a certified hospice and palliative care administrator.
Jones is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in health sciences through A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Mo., and is scheduled to graduate in March 2013. He has served in hospice administration for agencies in Kentucky, Indiana and Iowa. He has also taught medical bioethics, business ethics, values, organizational development and health care management courses in an adjunct capacity at several different colleges and universities.
