Child abuse, drug charges net Hawkins woman 30 days in jail

August 16th, 2011 10:55 am by Jeff Bobo

ROGERSVILLE — A Bulls Gap woman arrested recently in consecutive high-profile child abuse and drug possession charges pleaded guilty Monday to a third set of unrelated misdemeanor charges.

Monday’s sentence will run concurrently to the 30-day jail sentence Jamie Lee Blair, 31, 374 Summitt Hill Road, Bulls Gap, received in Hawkins County Sessions Court last week.

On Monday, Blair pleaded guilty to charges including driving on a suspended license second offense, no insurance, and possession of drug paraphernalia — a pill crusher and a marijuana pipe. Those charges were placed on July 27 at a Tennessee Highway Patrol driver’s license checkpoint in Rogersville.
