August 8th, 2011 11:28 pm by Staff Reports

ERWIN — Paynetown Crossing will perform at the final Erwin Kiwanis Campfire Program for 2011 on Friday.
Janine and Randy Broyles have been playing music together in the Tri-Cities area for around 15 years, formerly as part of the Tomahawk Band and now as the duo Paynetown Crossing. The duo has recently performed at events such as “First Friday” and the Blue Plum Festival held in downtown Johnson City.
The program begins at 8 p.m. at the Rock Creek Recreation Area in Erwin. It is free and will be followed by a free marshmallow roast.
To get to the Rock Creek Recreation Area, take Exit 36 from Interstate 26, turning right onto North Main Avenue. Turn left at the traffic light on Rock Creek Road and continue to Rock Creek Recreation Area. In case of rain, the program will be moved to the nearby Rock Creek Presbyterian Church.
