ROGERSVILLE — Hawkins County deputies nabbed four meth suspects at a Rogersville motel last week including a retired Rogersville Middle School teacher and a mother charged with child abuse only two days earlier.

Late Thursday night the HCSO Narcotics Unit received a tip that there were several illegal drug transactions as well as a large amount of meth at Room 209 at the Quality Inn Motel on Highway 11-W in Rogersville.

Deputies responded to the motel and determined that Room 209 had been rented and paid for by Jerry Richard Whitt, 63, 364 Meadowview Lane, Rogersville, who retired as a teacher at RMS in spring of 2004.
