NASHVILLE (AP) — A second victim has died following a Nashville house fire that earlier claimed the life of her sister.
Novella Bass, who was 101, died Tuesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Bass had initially survived a July 26 fire that killed her 95-year-old sister Tommie Katherine Bass.
The sisters were longtime teachers in the Metro Nashville School System, according to The Tennessean (http://bit.ly/mQtgS6 ).
Nashville Fire Department investigators ruled the blaze was caused by an accidental cooking fire.
