August 3rd, 2011 7:31 am by Staff Report

A Johnson City man Tuesday on charges that he assaulted his girlfriend at a local hotel.
James Mock, 42, 830 Briar Cliff, Apt. 16, was charged with aggravated domestic assault.
Police said in a news release the arrest resulted from a report from a woman who said Mock assaulted her at Comfort Suites, 3118 Browns Mill Road.
According to a police report, Heather Fraysier, 21, told police her boyfriend got upset over another man looking at her in a restaurant, so she locked herself in a bathroom for more than an hour. Fraysier reported that after she left the bathroom, she got into bed with her boyfriend and as she was about to fall asleep, he grabbed her by the throat with his left hand and threw her against a wall, causing her to lose consciousness for a few seconds.
Once she regained consciousness, her boyfriend ordered her to leave the room, but when she started to exit, he grabbed her by the arm and would not allow her to leave, Fraysier told police.
Fraysier later sought treatment at Franklin Woods Community Hospital for a headache, a nose bleed and blurred vision in her right eye. Officers observed bruises on the woman's back and chest, police said in the report.
Police later found Mock in the parking lot of Briar Cliff Apartments and arrested him. Mock was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center released Wednesday on $50,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Aug. 11.
