NEW TAZEWELL (AP) — Authorities in Claiborne County say a body pulled from Norris Lake is that of a Kentucky man who had been missing for about two weeks.
The Claiborne Rescue Squad said Monday that the agency has recovered the body of 43-year-old Robert T. Ward of Hinkle in southeastern Kentucky, according to WVLT-TV in Knoxville.
Ward had been working on a boat engine on July 10 when he tumbled into the lake and didn't resurface.
State wildlife agents said Ward wasn't wearing a life jacket when he fell into a deep section of the lake.
